This qualification is specifically designed for people with safety responsibility in any country and in any kind of organisation. The Certificate covers the primary legal requirements as laid out in International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions and recommendations and documented best international practices for managing health and safety in the workplace.
On completion of the qualification, candidates will be able to:
- Deal with the main legal requirements of health and safety, including reference to international standards relating to the management of health and safety at work. They will know how to identify a range of hazards at the workplace and method of control in any company and any industry.
- At the same time, they will know how to make a risk assessment and an efficient report to the management in order to get approval for the recommendations made in the report.

Important: The remotely live method is the alternative method of face to face classes and is temporarily until the situation will allow us to organize safer face to face courses.
The remotely live method is temporary only, therefore the advantages are limited.
The Course will be provided by our accredited lead tutor/tutors, with study/revision/exam advice, links to relevant material, support details. You will also be provided with an authorized textbook that contains all relevant material for the course.
There are two major course Units (IG1 and IG2) to successfully complete before you become fully certified with the NEBOSH International General Certificate qualification:
- Unit IG1 is assessed by an OPEN BOOK EXAMINATION. The exam called “Open Book” will be on-line and can be undertaken from home or from any safe location. Full duration of the exam will be 24 hours but the exam can be finalized in 4-5 hours. You will be presented with a scenario that describes a realistic workplace and situation. You need to carry out a series of tasks using evidence presented in the scenario. More details please find HERE
- In addition, students must complete a practical inspection report assessment for Unit IG2. The practical paper IG2 consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace and preparing a short report.
You need to gain a minimum passing grade of 45 marks out of 100 for the IG1 Unit exam paper and for practical paper IG2 the results will be pass.
NEBOSH qualifications are also recognized and accepted by IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) in meeting the academic requirements for Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). At the same time successful candidates meet the academic requirements for Associate Membership of IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management).
